Banana Bread with a Provytl twist

Serves 2-3

Ready in 1 hour


  • 50g unsalted butter
  • 80g caster sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 100g self-raising flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • Chocolate chips or buttons
  • 1 Sachet of Provytl 50+


  1. Preheat oven to 180C and line a loaf tin with no-stick baking parchment paper.
  2. Add all ingredients, apart from the chocolate, into a mixing bowl and beat with a wooden spoon or electric whisk until well blended.
  3. Stir the chocolate chips or crushed buttons into the mixture.
  4. Spoon the batter into the prepared baking tin and level the surface.
  5. Bake for 1 hour until golden brown.
  6. Leave the loaf to cool for 10 minutes in the tin.

To Serve

Slice while warm and try with blueberries and yoghurt or a fresh fruit salad.
